Are you finding that no matter how hard you try, you are not reaching your goals? Are you ready to enjoy a loving relationship, a successful career, a healthy and trim body, and prosperity?

Then close your eyes and imagine that you are in a beautiful air balloon ready to take off, to have what you want in your life. Now look towards the ground and notice if there are any ropes holding you down, stopping you from being free to fly.

In order to move on in your life, it is necessary to cut those ropes—to overcome not your fears of failure but your fears of success. You may be as surprised as I was when I first discovered the fear of success. It seems illogical to push away the very things we desire.

However, my very first client opened my eyes to this fascinating phenomenon. In her counseling session, Betty told me that she desperately wanted her boyfriend to ask her to marry him.

I have a favorite saying, “Close your eyes and see clearly.” So I said, “Betty, close your eyes and imagine that your boyfriend is proposing. How do you feel?” Betty replied, “Terrified!” There it was; the first of many of my clues of the insidious fear of success.

John wanted to become president of his company. But felt scared when he visualized himself in that position. John was unaware that unconsciously he was afraid of the responsibility that comes with that role. The part of John that was afraid was sabotaging him from moving on in his career.

After working with many clients, I am convinced that we are very powerful beings. I never have to help people to become successful. All I need to do is to help them to be aware of and overcome their unconscious fears, and then they effortlessly fulfill their dreams. Once they cut the ropes that were tying them down, they suddenly meet their perfect mate, or are offered the job or promotion they were seeking. For the first time in their lives, they find losing weight to be effortless. They heal their bodies, and allow themselves to receive the money they need. They let go of their addictions and take control of their lives.

We are unique, but our problems are not. See if you recognize any of your fears, your blocks to success, so that you can overcome them and experience the exhilaration of flying free in your air balloon.

The “SEVEN FEARS OF SUCCESS” are:

1. Fear of the unknown. “I don’t know what it would be like to be in a loving relationship or successful career.”

2. Fear that success doesn’t fit your self image. “What’s a poor girl from Brooklyn doing in an exclusive social club in California?”

3. Fear that people will not like you if you are successful. “If I’m successful in my career, no man will want me.”

4. Fear that you don’t deserve success. “I feel guilty because I once stole money from my parents.”

5. Fear that success has a scary consequence. “If I get the promotion, I won’t have enough time to spend with my family.”

6. Fear that your parents won’t love you if you’re more successful than they are. “I don’t want my father to feel bad.”

7. Fear that to be successful is to fulfill your parents’ wishes. “I’m angry at them for not showing me enough attention when I was a kid. I’ll show them—I won’t have a successful career.”

To my amazement, these last two fears concerning the parents kept coming up in the office, even though sometimes Mom and Dad were deceased for many years. Our fears, like all of our emotions, can be very irrational. However, they are still very real and definitely affect our lives. Most people think they are struggling with the fear of failure, which I have found to be only the top of the iceberg. The unconscious fear of success is at the bottom, the part we don’t see that hurts us the most.

For example, Bob, a young engineer, was angry at his boss for not delegating him more responsibility. Under all that anger was fear; he was afraid he wasn’t smart enough to do the job. I asked Bob to go back to the time when he made the decision that he was dumb. Bob recalled an incident when he was four years old, and needing his grandfather’s help to tie his shoes. The little boy felt he had to act stupid in order to gain the extra attention. The decision Bob had made, “If I’m intelligent, I won’t get attention,” followed him into adult life. Bob recognized his fear of success and made a new decision, “I’m intelligent and I get enough attention.” At the next counseling session Bob smiled as he told me how his boss was giving him more responsibility.

The fear of success comes up very often in relationships. We meet someone special and we start getting close, too close. Suddenly we begin finding fault with each other. “Her nose is too big. He’s too short.” We become demanding and start arguments. We make commitments and break them. We drive each other crazy. We say, “Come close, I want to love you and share my life with you. But stay away because I’m afraid. I’m afraid to be vulnerable and feel hurt. I’m afraid I don’t deserve to be happy. I’m afraid I’m unlovable.”

Susan, a twenty-six-year-old attractive blond, was in tears as she told me how much she wanted to be married. However, all the men in her life kept leaving her. Susan regressed back to the time when she was five years old and devastated because her father moved out of their house. Since children feel responsible for everything that happens, Susan decided from that experience that she was unlovable, and that men she loves leave her. Ironically, the men in her adult life kept leaving her, actualizing her self-fulfilling prophesy. Susan succeeded in healing her inner child and realized the truth—that she is lovable, and that men she loves will stay with her. With those new positive thoughts in her unconscious mind, she began to attract more successful relationships.

Male clients had similar fears that were sabotaging their relationships. They also had the additional concern about taking on the responsibility of the financial commitment a marriage may entail. They were relieved when they discovered that they were okay even if their wife helped with their finances, and even if their wives earned more money than they did.

Clients taught me that often our illness and accidents are a result of the fear of success.

Mary discovered that she often got sick in elementary school because she was very bright and the kids rejected her. By missing many classes, her grades dropped and she was more accepted by her peers. Mary was shocked when she realized that she was still following the same pattern in her adult life.

If you are ready to be all that you are and have what you desire, then close your eyes and imagine that you are in your beautiful air balloon. Feel the weights of the fears of success dropping off easily so that you can take off. Look below and notice the beautiful green meadow, the majestic mountains in the distance, and the peaceful blue sky filled with puffy white clouds. Notice that you are free to fly!

To make it clear there is no simple one step to success. Achieving success in anything requires you take several steps to reach your goals.

It’s easier to be successful in little ways. Start small first then gradually increase your efforts. I’ve found that it’s a real good feeling when I accomplish a small task and it turns out the way I wanted it to turn out. It gives you more ambition to tackle larger projects without fear of failing.

I as a child had an interest in how things work. More specifically how electronic devices such as radios and TV’s functioned. I would get my hands on a broke transistor radio and just take it all apart to see what was inside. Later on as a teenager I was taking apart old television sets. I did not have any idea of how these things worked but still proceeded to take them apart. I finally moved onto high school and took a four year course in electronics which I did very well in. I now had the needed knowledge to understand how electronic equipment worked. I also was fairly proficient at repairing radios and television sets. The problem came when people would ask me to repair an item of theirs.
I use to think what if I took their equipment apart and couldn’t fix it. Or, what if I made it worst then what it was. I had a definite fear of failure.

Well as it turned out I did have several failures in repairing things for other people. But something good came from theses failures. The more I failed, the more I learned. I eventually became very good at repairing electronic equipment. Success finally arrived for me in this area of my life. It took a lot of small steps to reach, but was worth it. Now I can say that I can repair almost any type of electronic equipment.

We are destined to failure in many moments of our lives. The thing not to do is get depressed about it. I know it can be hard not to get depressed about failing. Looking to the future and not dwelling on the past helps. Just keep going and move on to the next challenge. Success will befall you eventually.

Once you gain that experience of failing at things in one area, or aspect of your life it’s easier to cope with failing in other areas. The thing to remember is your past successes and how you got there. These are learned models to go by when you are setting other goals in life. You have at your finger tips a very good roadmap to follow and look back on.

The difference between Success and Failure is determined by just one MAGIC WORD!

Yes, just by one word!

What is that?

Walter Chrysler, when asked to give the secret of success, listed the various qualities, such as ability, capacity, energy, but added that the real secret was enthusiasm.

“Yes, more than enthusiasm,” said Chrysler, “I would say excitement, I like to see men get excited.”

In the great epic Ramayana, Maharishi Valmiki is giving an interesting picture.

When Hanuman, the monkey God was not able to trace out the location of Sita,He was very much distressed.

He lamented, “How could I meet my colleagues at the other end of the ocean without finding out Sita!”

As He is the embodiment of Success, He immediately found out the required quality and uttered two verses (12th chapter verses 10 and 11).

In Sundara Kandam, the best part of Ramayana, He says, “Enthusiasm is the cause for getting wealth; enthusiasm is the greatest comfort; Enthusiasm makes one to do his best always, in all matters. Enthusiasm makes human effort fruitful. Hence I am going to do my best induced by enthusiasm.”
Needless to say, Hanuman found Sita in Asokavanam. This is the turning point in the great epic. Rama went to Lanka and killed Ravana.
Norman Vincent Peale has written a book titled, “Enthusiasm Makes the Difference”.

He points out that

1) Enthusiasm never runs down
2) Enthusiasm cancels fear and worry
3) Enthusiasm reduces stress and tension
4) Enthusiasm works miracles in problems
5) Enthusiasm is a powerful motivation which makes things happen
6) Enthusiasm builds power under your difficulties
7) Enthusiasm makes the difference- it leads everybody from failure to success.

The word enthusiasm from the Greek entheos means ‘God in you’ or ‘full of God’. In other words enthusiasm is a “Godly Quality”.

Emerson wrote: “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
God helps to those who work with great enthusiasm.
So instead of blaming others or the environment, we have to work hard enthusiastically aiming at our goal.

This one word will definitely take us to success from failure!

Success is one thing that people desires. It is also relative. The concept may vary from one person to another. However, no matter how you perceive success, one thing is for sure, it gives you relief, ecstasy and fulfillment. You will likely feel that after exerting much effort and dedication it really pays off.

Success breeds success. This can be true because indeed, it can be a great motivator. It is addictive. The moment you have tasted a piece of success, you will likely long for it and do something to gain more of it.

Success may come in different perspectives. Employment, education, sports, financial status, family life, spiritual life and the likes are some of its perspectives.

You can be a business magnate yet may be a failure when it comes to family life. You can be the president, lawyer, doctor, engineer or other established personality in the society however; you are physically sick and weak.

Success is not conclusive. There are aspects in life that you are not good at and there are some, where you excel.

Basically, success is an innate fulfillment and cannot be measured by human ways. However, it is a great pride to be honored with a trophy, certificate and other awards by virtue of your contributions, accomplishments and success.

Awards like certificates and trophies are now made more fashionable and flexible. Modern time has made accommodated fresh medium and materials.

Certificates are not limited to paper only. In fact, they can be printed on several materials like plastic and the likes.

Trophies, on one hand, have larger selections of material. They include the following:

1. Crystal Trophy. It uses 100% optical crystal, which is the finest among the crystals. Trophies like this have no lead content since the latter is pretty dangerous to health.

Crystal shines and sparkles when placed under affluent light. It exudes elegance and beauty.

In order to secure a crystal trophy, it is specially packed in an extraordinary designed box with foam. This is to avoid falls and breaks.

The most elegant design of crystal trophy is that of an award cup which are mostly awarded to sports winners.

Truly, success is immeasurable at times. However, it feels good to be acknowledged and honored by your comrades, workmates, bosses, teachers, judges, and other important persons in your life.

Though trophies are not conclusive proof of success, however, they are big deal to every one.

Success does not exist inside books. Yet books are valuable in that they catalyze the abilities already inside us. Books wake us up and provide necessary inspiration and education. They nourish and fire up our potential. Then it is up to us to put that knowledge into action and develop discipline and skills. Good books work… only if the reader works.

The Creator placed the seeds of success in the exact place they would be needed; they live inside of us, waiting to germinate, grow, and blossom. By living with faith-filled principles, those seeds will grow to bring rewarding accomplishments in the years to come.

Some people will tell you that you can’t start your own business. They’ll tell you to “get a real job.” Do these people have what you want? They have no tools or advice that you can use.

The key to success is to create your own reality. You are responsible for your life, and you can create what you want. You simply have to take the action to do so.

When you think of an idea, take action on it immediately. Don’t procrastinate! Trends come and go, and if you don’t step on the idea when the time is ripe, that time may pass. Or someone may beat you to it, especially in these days of speedy ecommerce.

Besides, the time you waste will lose you income. We recently created a new pop-up product that can get around most pop-up blockers. 2. Get the proper tools.

In order to be successful, you have to have the proper tools. For example, don’t use a Yahoo or a Google email account for your internet business. These are personal email addresses, not professional ones. Present yourself in a professional way, and you’ll be taken seriously in the online marketplace.

Remember that you’re not just creating a product; you’re creating a business, and your product must work as an online business.

3. Do what makes you uncomfortable.

No, that isn’t a typo. The ultimate key to success is to break outside of your shell. This means you must do exactly what makes you feel uncomfortable, silly, or perhaps even stupid.

Successful people do the things that unsuccessful people aren’t willing to do. They go the extra mile and make a little bit of extra effort.

The key in that last statement, however, is “a little bit” of extra effort. When a horse wins by a nose, it didn’t take a lot of extra effort for that horse to win. You needn’t work hard to have a successful internet business, but you do need to stretch beyond your personal status quo.

Practice self-mastery, get the proper tools, and stretch yourself beyond your current limits. If you apply these Three Pillars of Success to your next online business opportunity, your chances of success are very high!
